My Thoughts On the Different Photography Styles

Photography is a medium that allows us to capture and preserve moments in time, and there are many different styles of photography that can be used to achieve this.

It is beautiful to see how every style has its own unique challenges and rewards.

The choice of which style to pursue will depend on the preferences and goals of the photographer.
Regardless of the style, the key to successful photography is to have a strong understanding of composition, lighting and the technical aspects of the camera.
With practice (and experimentation), photographers can develop their own unique style and vision to set themselves apart from others.





Fibonacci and the Golden Ratio

The Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio are mathematical concepts that have inspired me in my work as a videographer and photographer.

The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding numbers (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55...).

The golden ratio is a mathematical ratio of roughly 1.618 to 1 that can be found by calculating the ratio between two consecutive numbers in a Fibonacci sequence (for example: 55/34).

Both the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio can be found in nature, and they have also been used by artists and architects throughout history.

I find that these concepts can be applied to video and photography in order to create pleasing compositions.

For example, the Fibonacci sequence can be used to determine the placement of objects in a frame.

The golden ratio can also be used to create pleasing compositions.

By dividing a frame into two segments (with a 1.618 to 1 ratio), you can place the subject of the photo or video at the point where the two segments meet, creating a visually appealing composition, based on the golden ratio.

Both the Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio are excellent tools that can be used to create beautiful compositions in videography and photography and I will keep looking for new ways to use these concepts.


I've always been interested in videography and photography, but it wasn't until I discovered Stoicism that I realised how powerful these mediums can be.

Stoicism has inspired me to use my skills to capture the world around me in a new and meaningful way.

This has made me a better photographer and videographer, as I'm constantly on the lookout for new and interesting subjects to capture.

Stoicism has also taught me the importance of staying calm and collected in the face of adversity.

This has come in handy when dealing with difficult clients or challenging situations.

By remaining calm and level-headed, I'm able to think clearly and make decisions that are in the best interest of myself, the client and my business.

Overall, Stoicism has been a great inspiration to me in both my personal and professional life.

I'm grateful to have discovered this philosophy and I'm excited to see how it continues to impact my work in the future.
